schadenfreude

I hold a violet in my hand –
how small it is!
It withers when I crush it
gently
it crumbles
the fine curved petals,
the soft fuzz of velvet;
all the small whirlpools
and great oceans,
the mountains and
the nuances of blues and reds
fading into
indiscernible atoms
gliding across
an infinite universe...
Any smaller
and we would be lost
in the chaos of Nothingness and Time.
how small it is!
It withers when I crush it
gently
it crumbles
the fine curved petals,
the soft fuzz of velvet;
all the small whirlpools
and great oceans,
the mountains and
the nuances of blues and reds
fading into
indiscernible atoms
gliding across
an infinite universe...
Any smaller
and we would be lost
in the chaos of Nothingness and Time.
