I'm in the process of starting a book and I just wanted to ask you guys a question, this is a satire (obviously) and its just liek really at the intro stage
if you jsut found out that there was a girl that was pregnant yet claimed to be a virgin and had proof that she was (im not going to explain that here, look it up) how would you react, how would any political, social, cultural, religious groups that you know react?
I want the farfetched extreme responces, not the skeptical ones

The most obviouse is that she would be hailed as the new Virgin Mary, carrying the new Jesus.
Or that she is some bizare gov, cloning experiment.

I once heard this term called second virginity. Means that a person, for example a girl, who had sex intercourse before, decided not to have it anymore until she get married/re-married.

hey stan, im going with that one but im trying to take the extremes from different groups, im going to have her consider abortion in which her case goes public and theres a big battle between pro choise and anti choice (dont like the term pro life) and then I was thinking about talking about the jewish maybe accepting her as messiah (some not all) in which case... i have to do research... uh..... hmmmm I need more groups thats why im asking
second virginity??? but there virginity is allready gone, they jsut stopped havign sex... would a women who loses her husband (and doesn't remarry or see another man or woman (has to add that in) for a long time) be the same thing?

There are instances that a female gets pregnant without losing her virginity... due to some medical reason or another.
And second virginity is a moral concept rather than a physical reality.

During the Civil War, a woman was impregnated by sperm
carried on a bullet that passed through the scrotum of a soldier a
nd penetrated her ovaries.

Yes, what Scher wrote about second virginity is true. It doesn't mean to be physical. I live in a country where virginity is still considered as a high thing. It's a disgrace if a woman (yes...WOMaN) lost her virginity before marriage. This of course related to the cultural values and norms applied here. There's also a law here that forbids man and woman living together without being married. If they got caught , there are 2 options. Either they got married right away or they'll be put in prison for quite some time.

Really? where do you live? it is hard to believe that there is still a law like that! :(

What about invitro fertalization? wouldn't the woman still be considered a virgin?

Virginity has nothing to do with babies or conception.
Stanislaw

But the idea is that the woman is a virgin even though she be pregnant...something unheard of 50+ years ago.

It wasn't known but scientifically it is possible for a woman technically to be a virgin but still conceive.

Yes, but with the lifting of that societal stigma, such things are becoming more evident.

Hmm, I would go the other way and say with the help of science, these things are becoming more acceptable socially.

I suppose, this sort of practice would have been looked down upon as imoral and wrong a few years back.
