Needs

Almost, if not all, our needs are not not real needs
For we need them for needs' sake only
I need a multistory building and many acres of land
I need to run several offices and control chains of commands
I need a pretty wife and a fiance too
I keep on needing things until I can colonize the entire planet

My egos and arrogance go on swelling
And I can not be contained in a small place
I need to reserve enough space
So that I can stretch my wings

Discontent I keep on wrestling
Maybe this is the Mantra for survival

I know that my needs are not real
I know that I have to part with everything at the end of the day
I know things are impermanent
I know nothing remains of me
I become a bit of a Sadhu in my pensive moods

Yet I need everything as far as my imagination goes
I need a world of my own

I have seen both life and death, full blown
I have seen scenes of pains and joys
I have navigated through varied circumstances
Learned enough to be a philosopher or a Sadhu

Yet I dream of needs, heaps of needs
