I need some help with 1984. I looked at numerous sources on Orwell and could not find anything that shed any light into where his anger comes from. If anyone can help me with this i would greatly appriciate it. Its no secret that Orwell was fueled by anger but i just want to know where this anger came from. Thank you.

It comes from him being unable to practice doublethink on himself. When others saw inequity in the application of laws to the British Empire, they accepted the flaws.Orwell was unable to do that and the scars of what he was required to do - against his own moral code - fuelled his anger for all of his far too short life.
