I am new at this. I hope you enjoy. Tis very short.

Melody of Love-

The Melody of Love-

He sat down on the floor by the piano bench. He rested his head on her lap as she began to play. The song was a beautifully tragic piece, full of longing and passion.

"What is this?" he asked.

"This is new love. This is the birth of true, passionate, love." She played some more.

Still resting on her lap, he began to fall asleep. He let himself sink into the melody of the song, and let it tell a story about a boy who secretly loved a girl. This boy wanted someone to understand just how deep his love was for a girl of supreme beauty and grace.

The song changed.

His eyes opened as he looked up at her easy consentration. Even when closing her eyes she did not miss one note. She spoke, "You have been hurt. Your heart has been broken before." She paused then spoke again, "Not just broken, no, your pain goes deeper than that."

He flushed, "How do you know this?"

With a look of sorrow on her face she stared at the keys of the piano as if they had the answer to every broken heart in the world.

She began very legato, "This song, this is the heart break. This is the sorrow, the tears, and the lonely nights."

With a mixed look of anguish and pleasure, he continued to listen. One, single, salty tear fell from the corner of his left eye as he relived his tragedy of a love story.

The song came to an end, and he let out a sigh that alleviated him of his affliction.

She let her hand run from his temple down the side of his face to the point of his chin. She lifted his gaze to meet hers. She opened her arms lovingly, summoning him to her side. As he sat next to her, her arms wrapped around him in a comforting manner, holding his head tightly, yet gently to her heart. They stayed like that for a moment.

"Play some more?" he pleadingly requested.

Without another word, she removed her hands from his body and began to play.

This time, the song was bright and gentle. The song was so alluring he saw her in a new way. He had seen her many times before, but never had her divine features shown so bright as they did now. She glowed. She became an Angel in his eyes.

Bewitched by her presence, he began to feel himself falling in love with her. This caused a slight panic within his heart but this was not enough to fight the fact that his whole being was now utterly devoted to her. He was fearful she did not feel the same.

The song that had been casting its spell on him, had now vanished. It was silent and his panic was rising. Then, once more, she began to play.

The song that was now freely flowing through his mind, body and soul had taken away all worries or concerns.

"And this one?" he asked.

"This, my love, is the happily ever after. This is the eternal love. This," she looked at him, "is you."

Right then, he knew she felt the same way about him. Delight now radiated from every part of his being. He had never been happier than he was in that very moment. He was pleased now that he knew that this story had a happy ending.

At the end of a wordless song that had said more to him than any person he met or book he read, he took her hands in his, brushed her cheek with his finger tips and gently pressed his lips to hers. A brief and simple kiss, that could have melted the sun.

Their lips parted. She opened her eyes so deeply in love that the most beautiful sunset that had ever drifted beneath the earth could not match the sparkle in her eyes.

"There is absolutly nothing in this world," he said softly, "No word, no song, no painting or action that could ever describe the way you make me feel or how much I love you, but I will spend the rest of eternity trying to find something that does not exist if it means I will always have you."

She smiled a smile that only heaven could see. "My darling," she whispered, "You need only to find youself, to find me for that is where I will always be."
