I love A Christmas Carol! And The Crucible and The Telltale Heart. But some of these others sound interesting too. Someone give some information on these books, I've never heard of History of Ibotics or Interpreter of Maladies (and I can't see who's winning until I vote)

The History of I-botics, a concept created by famed scifi author, Isaac Asimov.
The story spans the life of Thre generations, Starting with a secret Nazi project to build a mechanical man. The stroy starts in the 1940's and proceeds well past present day, with a couple of flash backs, and parralel stories. all of the stories are linked together by common characters (usually the Nazi robot, or his famed creator). It is an interesting book, a farely quick read, and for fans of sci fi, historical fiction, or asimov's followers, it is a must...

Maybe I should be in marketing. lol :D

But seriously for something a little different but with alot of bite, vote History of I-botics.

Sorry to interrupt your corrupt dealings--Stanislaw, is History of I-botics the name of a book or a series? If it's a book, could it possibly have been re-published under a different name (because I can't find it listed anywhere), and if it's a series, what are the names of the books? It sounds interesting--I think I actually have a book at home, not written by Asimov but "inspired" by him, about a team led by a robot that goes back in time to WWII to do I forget what exactly. I'm not sure whether this is related or not, but I'd like to read this either way.

I know I nominated one and all and did try to sell my vote, but I don't think I'll have the time to read a another book right now. What about a January book?

Scheherazade
12-16-2004, 12:44 PM
Those who have the time can still read I guess :) and as for the January book, would you like to start the nomination thread?
