Though I'm not going to be so adventurous yet and say I wish Poe had written a novel. I think he could have written a monument. I also think Caligula could have written something grand.

Yes, Caligula would've been an interesting one to write a novel.

The two names that immediately come to mind (and they are quite different) are Mozart and Abraham Lincoln. I think both of those men could've come up with stories that were quite engrossing. At least I would be engrossed by what they'd written. :)
