This is a poem that I wrote about my niece.


My Angel Without Wings

Since you were born, you have been an angel to me
A sweet little angel without wings is what I see

So innocent and filled with a love that is so pure
You make everyday of my life easier to endure

I look into your angelic face with that infectious smile
And can’t help but get lost in your eyes for a while

You give me a glimpse of what heaven is all about
Pure love and an innocence that knows no doubt

I am sad at the fact, for I have predilection for seeings things at their other end. Everyone is born so pure, seamless and innocent, but we become infected with time.

Is not this the tragedy of life?
