LostLove

When I met her I think of the night
I thought I had found Ms Right
Lying in her arms was like dreaming
In darkness with her face gleaming
Making love seemed so great
Her beneath me was no mistake
When finished what would I say
I only knew I wanted her to stay
As she stayed I fell deeper in love
It was perfect like a gift from above
I now know love is not made to last
It’s sometime better left to the past
Her memories still haunt my mind
How I could ever have been so blind
I begged her please don’t go
Don't you know I love you so
I thought my life was at an end
She said said we can still be friends
She cheated and broke my heart
Must find another to get a fresh start
Can I replace the love that I knew
With a broken heart it’s hard to do
Why would I want to play love in a part
Hiding the pain with a fling isn’t smart
A fling will only cause more pain
Because there is nothing to gain
Being in love is to want give and take
Finding the one there can no mistake
I will find a love that’s right for me
This will let our love to set me free
Free from the bonds of a failed love
That is if this love is truly from above
How can I believe that love is great
Living my life with what’s at stake
Time and togetherness are ours to share
I am sure that I will find one who cares
In loneliness a heart aches to belong
Sorrow departs as in all love songs
Worse than loneliness is not to be happy
One that doesn’t care makes life crappy
