SLEEP
The blanket of darkness,
with glistening diamonds,
soft-glowing pearl,
engulfs a dancing tree shedding almonds,
the watery mirror reflecting the white,
forcing people to a state of calm,
the simple,soothing balm,
ever-energising,ever-refreshing,
silent waters still flowing,
within every marble pond,
the theatre of mind,
screening varied motion pictures,
of crystalline moments,
movies of pain,of heroism,
of power,intensity and cataclysm,
preparation for true vision,
tunes of rustling leaves,the violin,
soft,rhythmic breathing,
keeping the earth alive,
the battle between heaven and hell,
softens as darkness rings the bell,
the seemingly timeless travel,
where odd mysteries unravel,
heads laid on pillows, many bodies rest,
departed souls lie in the aery nest......

well, I like the parts which rhyme the best. there are many very pretty words and images in this. why is the tree shedding almonds, and what does that have to do with sleep? just a thought. nice work overall.

Your poem proves that how far can man go in imagination and it is his imagination that leads him anywhere beyond the ordinary.

You presented yourself as a writer who could write imagining deeper almost touching upon the layer of mind or else unfathomable.
