Oh dear, browneyedbailey, could you be a bit more specific? It's hard to help with such a general request. Have you tried wiki?

Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Gordon Jacob, and Kenneth Alford revived British art music in the twentieth century. Holst and Vaughan Williams were friends and worked folk tunes into their music in order to keep them alive. Vaughan Williams is credited with writing 250 works for wind band, I believe it was, and Gordon Jacob was jealous of being left out of Holst and Vaughan Williams friendship so he wrote a piece and called it "Original Suite" as a counterpoint to Holst and Vaughan Williams using folk pieces for their melodies. Kenneth Joseph Alford is a pseudonym for Frederick Joseph Ricketts, who is considered by many to be the British equivalent to John Phillip Sousa because he is Britain's most popular march composer.
Yes that was sort of random but you didn't specify what you wanted. I could also tell you about Sherlock Holmes and his creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, or LOTR and its creator J.R.R. Tolkien, or Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane and their creator Dorothy L. Sayers, or Agatha Christie and her creation Hercule Poirot, or C.S. Lewis and the Chronicles of Narnia and Mere Christianity.
Ok I'll stop bragging now. :p
