Unnatural Happiness

Gently, sweetly, softly falling,
Dancing on surreal clouds,
Light as a feather;
So Happy!
An unnatural euphoria,
In your presence I feel I can fly.
A still small contentment,
That out-shadows everything else.
The world revolves around you,
A world of pure blissful peace,
Where I don’t need to pretend,
Or paint on deceitful smiles…
Our hours are like majestic clouds,
Reflecting the sunset rays of something beautiful:
Bright, colourful, beautiful!
Stirring deeply within me a sensation so powerful
It leaves me shaking and elated.
Oh that these fleeting times would last!
That they would never end,
And fade, and disappear.
But eventually every sunset must past
Each cloud is blown away
And only memories are left
To hold close and treasure.
