[lucidnightmares]

a blank screen staring back into immaculate eyes
the darkness of humanity reflected within
as the iris released emotion, against his guise
he sits and waits for the end to begin
mind is raging calmly, erratically logical
freedom attained from wars since past
for reality is only psychological
as every breath may be his last
the thought of life is so obscure
clouded by truths fabricated by men long dead
for nothing we know can ever be sure
knowledge and ignorance are an interwoven thread
a smile meets his gaze, for what could be better than this?
though the world is ending, it does so with bliss.
