Still I can get a tad "crazy" about these things.
Actually me too. I usually side with the 'weaker' one, or better to say with the one attacked.

I'm more of a random person like on one debate I'll be on the stronger(attacking) side, but on another I'll be on the weaker(attacked) side.Just goes on my opinions.
That's it :), wow, you have opinions :). Oh and a mind of your own? Wow. My point being, no one's perfect, people stumble, no big deal. Seems to me you realized you might have made a mistake, that's what counts... imho.

I realize I've done something stupid pretty quick, but I'd rather continue. ;) How about you?
Think I'm just about to do that something stupid yet. Gimme a few mins :)

...always great to see the olive branch....
I followed the troubles but refrained from putting my two cents worth in there.....very unusual in itself...............but truly love the extended olive branch. In the end..................its all about peace and love my friends......
I thought it was just... didn't know 'olive branch' seems to have a certain meaning... anyone willing to explain? If I could ask, use simple words please :p

okay that sounds good.
Just because we fight sometimes doesn't always mean that we can ever get along later. I remember when imthefoolonthehill first came around in the Religious section, he drove me crazy. But as time passed, I've grown to repect him for his well thought insight. Believe it or not, I felt the same about Abdorinbo at times, until he went berserk and never stopped.
I know that what you all are trying to do. I just like illustrations. :D

Stan and Sub were originally annoyed at Logos for deleting a post (used a derogatory term for an Africian American) and closing the thread. They made couple threads that eventually got closed.Riddick and I picked sides in the middle of the arguement and locked horns. Admin came back took out a poll thread (by Riddick to ban Sub and Stan) and said no more fighting. I bring out the olive brance hence this thread.

okay... no longer confused, thanks, hmmm..... interesting however its strange... reminds me of a converstaion i had about that new game, jfk reloaded... by freedom laws they can publish it but the only thing that can be done against it is boycotting it... same here i think....?!?!?! wasn't here so not going to put my own take on everything
Stanislaw
11-29-2004, 10:58 PM
Actually twas probably a good idea that admin did come by and break things up, and now things appear to have reached a normal quota once again
Whatever state of "normal" it ever was ;). Face it... Us? Normal? Yeah, riiiiiiight :D:p
Scheherazade
11-30-2004, 06:36 AM
normal is overrated...
Stanislaw
11-30-2004, 11:53 AM
not too mention too conformist. :p
Scheherazade
11-30-2004, 12:00 PM
well if you are living in a non-conformist society, then the normal behaviour would be not confirming... so a confirmist attitude would be 'abnormal'...
The definition of normal is what is seen/observed in majority afterall...
:D
*babbles on*
Stanislaw
11-30-2004, 12:02 PM
...but if normal is based off the majority of the population, then there is infact no normal behaviour because there is not one majority population doing the same things. ;)
Scheherazade
11-30-2004, 12:06 PM
within that society, there would be a trend which is followed by the majority and that would set the standard for the 'normal' for that particular society....
Stanislaw
11-30-2004, 12:08 PM
...but in general the normalcy would be abnormal in a global sense...
Scheherazade
11-30-2004, 12:10 PM
I doubt it... On global sense we would have to do surveys and see what is prefered by the majority and I am sure there would be certain things which would be more liked by the mojority...
And if the normal is abnormal then by definition the abnormal would be normal and you would still end up with something you can call 'normal'...
Stanislaw
11-30-2004, 12:15 PM
so in the end, global normlacy is based off the global abnormality of local normalcy
Scheherazade
11-30-2004, 12:18 PM
You see your logic is faulty in that you are assuming certain things are normal/abnormal based on your own judgement system... what you call global normality might be abnormality when it comes to number crunching...
Stanislaw
11-30-2004, 12:20 PM
indeed, normality is subjective; based off an individuals interpretation of their cultural climate. So there can be no global subjective normalcy if calculated by Earths inhabitants. so from a human perspective the only level of normalcy comes from our ability to be globally abnormal.
You're both abnormal ;) :p
Jester
11-30-2004, 06:59 PM
thanks Jay.... normal is as normal does but you see we don't live in a noncofmormist attitude (when in rome do like the roman's do) (in a firght between you and the world back the world) (not one persona can make a difference)... theres more too... so being a noncomformist your bound to stand out and be abnormal but whats normal for the abnormal one is abnormal for everyone else and vice versa so really normal and abnormal mean the same thing... but have different conjectures... you can't be happy unless sadness exist, you wouldn't knwo what it is
(you too sound like the voices in my head when they go all wonky)
You're welcome Jes, even though I have no idea what I did :)

THere's these comercials in the states... well one is one woman walks up to another in a grocery store and goes like "awwww congratualtions on teh baby" and rubs the woman's stomach... the rubbed one is like "what baby" so after a minute the first lady is like, "Thank you???" and the second woman, "You're so welcome" and all about the baby is forgotten... another comercial is when a couple is at dinner and the girls asks, "when are we getting married?" and the guy is like "Thank you???" and the girls says, "you've never said that to me before" and gushes and all talk of marriage is abandoned... there for an insurance agency i think
so sort of random thanks out to everyone ;)
You're both abnormal ;) :p
*still confused* ah well, half asleep
