:-) you guessed it. what are you thankful for... be as corny as you like.

This thread starts a contest: who can sound the most cliché?
Regardless, I feel thankful for my family, in general, and the girl I love, being happily in my life. For less tangible concepts, I feel greatly thankful for the ability of creating art, and sharing it with close others.
How was that?

Oh, I almost forgot - to all those who celebrate, as I know we have many international members, I wish a very Happy Thanksgiving filled with joy.

People are strange
When you're a stranger
Faces coming out of the rain
No one remember your name
People are strange

When you find out what's going on... lemme know? Pretty please?

Jester
11-30-2004, 07:22 PM
it was something about a theory that the dead turns into the ocean spray, foam ont he sea and theres this one guy who comes back from the dead and dnaces on the beach just before a storm.... soemthing like that

subterranean
11-30-2004, 09:49 PM

*singing subs song*

"When your, stra-a-ang"

*Note to self: ask jester about that wicked sounding story i.e. ex-dead guy, shimmer dance on the beach bdfore the storm*

Jester
11-30-2004, 10:10 PM
what do you want to know about it baddad?

subterranean

No...but nevermind about it...i'll figure that our later, when i'm more "sober"

baddad

Jester: Love the ethereal nature and visual concept that popped into my head when I read your first description of the story. See a wraith of a man dancing defiantly before and under a darkly blackening/ threatening sky. It screams defiance, pure willpower on the part of the deceased overcomes death, defys the powerful waves buffeting our lives, the "human condition".

baddad
11-30-2004, 10:20 PM
Jester.....Post script: Don't want to plagarize your work......so I'll ask permission. Check out the line under my avavtar...problem for you?

Jester
11-30-2004, 10:20 PM
hmmm cool.... i haven't read that story in about a year now... bt what im reminded pretty close, except the dancer is alive (solid)....

baddad
11-30-2004, 10:27 PM
uhhh....jester, i thought the dead turned to sea foam, and the dancer was one (dead person) who returned periodically to dance.....or thats what I 'p-e-r-c-e-i-v-e-d.

Jay
11-30-2004, 10:31 PM
Share baddad's opinion about the dead guy, didn't understand too well about the other guy

Jester
11-30-2004, 10:34 PM
oh.... hmm... no problem wiht the message under avatar Baddad... lets if i can try this again...

The guy enjoyed being dead but was sent back to world of living and so he dances every night along the beach before an approaching storm, beckoning the sea spray to come to him and the foam and sea spray dances around him... when you die you become the foam and sea spray on the water but this guy after having expeierienced that (he felt freedom or whatever can be percieved by the story) wants to go back and dances on the beach to ask for his return...... bystanders label him insane

Jay
11-30-2004, 10:39 PM
So something like some people enjoying things majority considers 'unenjoyable'?

Jester
11-30-2004, 10:40 PM
um something like that... i think i was really playing with the idea of insanity and what people might think and of course with the unknown...

Jay
11-30-2004, 10:43 PM
Really getting interested in that story Jes... would it be possible looking up the author and the title of it?
