Hi, I'm Ty and i have to finish two home courses in two monthes, and it is overwhelming. I've finished one course but I'm almost out of time and I need a way to finish my last two books: Pride and Prejudice, and The Moonstone. Any way you can to help me understand and/or answer the questions I would love. Thank You. :)

31. In chapter 4, Elizabeth says Jane is "honestly blind to the follies and nonsense of others." Explain the irony of this statement in light of Elizabeth's view of Darcy and Wickham at the beginning of the novel.
29. When Elizabeth asks her father to refuse to let Lydia go to Brighton, his irresponsible reply is that A) Lydia can expose herself there without inconvenience to the family B) Lydia will be well-behaved C) he will lock Lydia up.
34. In what way are the characters Mrs. Bennet and Lady Catherine alike? Give an example of how they act similarly.

Jane is blind by the goodness of her temperament. She is determined to only see the best in others. I'm pretty sure there's a place where Elizabeth admits she think ill of everybody. There is a searchable text on this website to make it easier to find quotes. Elizabeth is blind to the nonsense and follies of Mr. Wickham by being blinded by his charm. He satisfies her pride and vanity by his charming speech and manners.
#29 is A - you can also look that up on this site. Look up the word inconvenience.
They are both an embarrassment to the family.
At the Netherfield party, Mrs. Bennett says something aloud so that Darcy hears her say something about Jane marrying Binley will throw the girls into the paths of "other rich men".
Lady C. embarrasses Darcy when he suggests that Elizabeth can practice the pianoforte in the housekeepers quarters.

sciencefan thank you so much. I’m under a lot of pressure doing this; I’ve had to drop sports that I’ve been in for 4 years and I couldn’t stop working since I need the money. I saw you post on other peoples questions and they had the same assignment that I do so I used your other answers. you’re a great great great help and I respect you so much for your knowledge.

I commend you for looking around and finding the other posts.
Some people come in here and ask questions already answered last year,
and I don't think they bother searching around a little.
Good on you.

Did you look to see if they have a page for it here?
It doesn't seem very busy, but maybe if you post, someone may help you.
