I saw her in a cafe
With a stranger in closely clasped arms
His robust physique crushed her
She loosened to his intiatives

A few days later I saw the couple in a church lost in prayer
A bishop showered rains of blessings on them

A year after I saw them walking with a small baby

Once again I saw them at a restaurant
Both were lost in a world of silence
She was wandering through a memory lane of her own
He was in his own world.

Both were two desolate islands

Illusive, they wove dreams called home
Like the spider's net they swallowed their passionate moments

Time has buried the story, and the memory goes dimmer and dimmer
through stretches of time and space

even a gem as bright as bright as love can lose it's luster, I wonder how many lifes meet this fate?
A hauntingly true poem, even if I'm scared to admit it can happen to me.
Makes me think about the future and what it holds for us all.
The last three stanzas are captivating.
