Khe Iem
CALLING SOFTLY
sweeping trash
leaning on a broom
not leaving a speck of dust behind
reflecting
releasing
seeking
calling softly
in desolation

I get the image of a lone figure in my mind
but the poem more reminds me of a state of mind we enter frequently, that moment of solitude that allows us time to reflect upon the day and ourselfs. How we are all looking for something that seemingly doesn't exist, calling softly within our minds.
the style is very different, but that gives it a scence of identity.
Sorry for rambling and thanks for sharing this piece.

So simple, yet so representative of life. It can speak lots about life, indeed the kind we all are hemmed in. Imprisoned we live routinizing us in the day-today course of living.
In desolation we live and we see things distantly, lazily and hazily.
I see the marvels of your poem.
You whittled out something.

I found it very deep and profound even with your childlike simplicity. In the use and choice of words I like your style.
