Will you get there in time
for the final sale on earth?
When things are sold at last
for eggzackly what they’re worth.
Some as cheap, I say, some as cheap as dirt!

Will you get there in time
for the final sale of earth?

It somehow makes me think of the last judgement,

When things are sold at last
for eggzackly what they’re worth.

and there is a dark feeling in this poem. But it's difficult to put my finger on it.

Well, cookie-pie, as is most often the case, you've read one of my poems as intended. As for the dark feeling in it, I did indeed hesitate about the element of humour in "eggzackly, wondering if it was appropriate or congruous.

I liked it. I interpreted it as a political poem, commenting on capitalism.

Marvelous. I like the poem but I can not comprehend the real meaning the wants to put across, the deepest meaning of it.

Does the poet mean the doom's day or any thing else to speak of the final sale on earth.

I will be happy if the poet explains a bit despite the fact that poems can not always be explained.

I take it then dirt will continue to trend down. And how glorious when the value of dirt will be determined by what it grows or how it will mold.
