The Piece of String is Maupassant's, but I'm unsure what the 5 elements, are, or who wrote Misery, unless you are talking about the Chekhov story.

lulya, i think the tough thing is, your post kind of looks like you have an english assignment and you're trying to get people in the forum to do the work for you? or is it something else?

I think he meant Chekhov. Though what the 5 elements are, I have no clue.
I can only name 4, Language, Character, Plot, Setting.

When is the assignment due? I remember The Piece of String, it definitely was Maupassant's. Read it here: http://www.online-literature.com/maupassant/270/ can't seem to think what the, is being called for here. Sort of a falsely accused bit off grandiosity there... it will probably come to me in the middle of the night

no..it's not an assignment, but I just want to know, and thanx I did aresearch and i found alot of things about it :)
