tennyson/morrison question

does anyone know if the van morrison song "come in my garden" is a memorial or at least used as reference to tennyson's garden maude poem? i have listened to the song for years, and certainly he makes reference in many of his songs to poets i.e. the song Summertime in England. i confess i never read this tennyson poem before, but with age and indulgence comes further investigation of even the victorians. can anyone help, please?
