So, these are a series of poems I wrote earlier today about Vincent Van Gough's piece of work, Sunflowers. I did this as part of an exercise for my English class.

Orange and Yellow

Orange and yellow glisten
In a bath of light;
Burning and blistering
Perpetually.

Unyielding and un-wilting,
In a stance of defiance,
They sit in their vase,
Eternally.

Silent Leaves

Defiantly, reliantly, silently sitting,
Watching the movement of the
Outside world swell and convulse;
Waiting intently, with outstretched leaves,
For the moment when they can touch the faces
Of those nameless observers.

Yes, still objects can be very inspiring...

Nicely put, well done. :)

Interesting. As both poems are on the same subject and similar, try combining them into one solid poem. You have good stuff there! :thumbs_up

Yah, I was thinking of combining them, but I couldn't figure out a good way to do it. I find that the rhythm of the poems are quite different, and they don't lend well to eachother. Though, it might just mean a bit of re-wording and such.
