Technical help please

I've been away for a while and I think I have forgotten a few technicalities- First how do i clear my Private Message inbox and second how do I include smilies in my posts and third How do i particular thread? i'm a technial idiot, so please would someone give me a very detailed reply?

1. deleting private msg inbox. UserCP->List messages->check the msgs u want to delete or check the master check box on top to select all->there is a drop down box on the bottom of the msgs saying "selected msgs", drop down and select "delete" and press "Go".

2. including smilies. The box you see for replying is always for "Quick Reply". Click on "Go Advanced" below the reply box to get into a page which displays all the formatting tools. just click on the smilies to add. to see other smilies, click on "more" and just click on the smilies which appear :D .

3. "third How do i particular thread?" i didnt get you here properly?? for posting new threads, there is button on top left of every forum "new thread" but since u have posted a thread i think it is not that what u want.

Sorry, what I meant for the 3rd question was How do I subscribe to a particular thread to get email notification when new mails are posted on it. Thanks for the other answers.
