Paradise Lost & Poem in 17th century

Now I am reading the book Paradise Lost. I found it difficult for me to understand this classic work. I post a passage in "general literature" block of this forum, finding my topic was labeled"moved", but I can not find it again:bawling: (how can I find it? ) so I come here, because I doubt my moved topic is about poem rather than general literature. I sincerely hope you can give me some advice on reading this book. I wanna study this book,and then books written by Shakespears, finally I hope I am fimilar enough about literature or poem in 17th century.So I sincerely hope someone can give me suggestions and advice! I wanna find a version of Paradise Lost with full notes, can you introduce one to me? or any books which can help me to be familiar with grammer or backgroud in 17th century, or any references about literature of that time! Hi! JBI, thank you very much! I found many topics about Milton by using your way, and next time when I wanna search for topics about other authors, I can use the same way. However, the source about Paradise Lose here in this forum seems not so many, maybe this book is too serious? I will post more after I learn more about PL.
