Hi everybody ,
I landed up at this forum, while looking out for some good poems to read. I see that i am unable to enjoy and appreciate the poems. So far i did not even get interested about them or try to explore that area. I enjoy reading books, good articles over internet etc, but ihave never ever got interested in poems. But for the past few days, i have been repeatedly hearing things or greatness of the poem 'Solitary Reaper'. Since it has been in my ears repeatedly for some months now, i thought of reading the poem. I could not really appreciate it. May be i am not getting the essence. :idea:
I could not even identify what is that is preventing me from enjoying it or understanding it. I like nature, enjoy paintings, travel, read books whenever possible or get time, love to chat friends, more experimenting in my profession (Software Engineer), like watching movies, listening good music, songs. Why i am mentioning all this is , i have seen people losing interest in all this as they grow and their responsibilities increase. But i am keen in not becoming that. I am married and working and have my own responsibilities and work tensions. Still i like maintain the necessary peace of mind, which is required and thats what keeps me interested in all the things mentioned above.
And now i am hear to learn the art of reading poems and understanding them or !!!!!!! dont find exact words to express what i mean. I definitely feel people here are excellent in this and would help me knowing the secrets behind poems and their beauty. Awaiting a positive response from you all . Hoping to have nice time here along with u all...:) :)
