Okay, Litnet needs some spicing up. Where is everybody, anyway? Good gracious.
Here's today's master plan. I'll post a master plan every day that will get litnet energetic, again.
Today's plan is tomorrow's task. Tomorrow, let's break a record, how about?
Bloggers, this one goes out to y'all. Let's make a new record of how many people blog in a day. I don't care how much more, but more than the current record. Okay?

Seriously! I've been checking Lit Net and there doesn't seem to be any activity. It makes me sad when there's nothing goin on here. I don't have anything to blog about, but my blog is rather blah blah blah so I guess could type up another entry about the dryer lint I contended with today. :D Or I could wait a while and see if I can come up with anything more interesting to say.

Anza has left me in charge of this while she is away for a while. See her blog for details.

I do agree with her, though. This place needs some spicing up, even though I'm quite fond of Pensive's new thread on the current situation of the World.

Let's go, let's go, let's go!

Virgil
03-31-2008, 08:22 PM
I'll have to go blog. I wouldn't want to disappoint Anza. ;)

I haven't been around lately, but I'm about to start posting-mania! And actual meaningful replies, as opposed to the obligatory, "blah blah blah, have a nice day", posts.

Nice to see you guys again.

Everyone! Please head over here to support our one and only Countess! http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33878

That is the task for today, everyone. :) Countess needs some love. She's going through some tough times. Start a thread if you like, but please head on over there for her and say something nice about our friend.

Lily Adams
04-01-2008, 11:53 PM
Thanks for your contribution to Countess' thread, everyone. Please continue to support her.

So tomorrow's task is to comment on at least three blogs. Anza has a contest on who posts the most comments tomorrow. PM her if you think you've commented the most. She says liars will face the wrath of her Zeus-y lightning bolts.

If you guys are confused by these orders or want to know more details/where I'm getting this from go here: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blogs/viewblog.php?userid=38668&entry=5040

For some of you it is already "tomorrow" so get crackin'! (I mean, commmenting!)

This is Space Cadet Spud Second-In-Command Lily Adams signing off for the night. *salute* Do your Duty Now For the Future to wake up LitNet. (You know those days when you're just sitting there, staring at LitNet's home page thingy saying, ""Bob"...NOTHING'S happening! I can't take it anymore!". Well you don't HAVE TO!)

*salute*

Oh, I didnt see that the focus has changed from blog entries to thread starting to comments in blog. I made a blog entry assuming that we can blog. I guess I should go and comment on blogs now.

Tomorrow you guys gotta make at least 10 posts.

I am so sorry couldn't contribute to today's task everyone. This morning I got my wisdom teeth pulled out and have been basically fighting the drug effects ever since. I am so dizzy. Can't stay on long. Remember tomorrow everyone is going to post pics of their personal libraries. For those of you where it is already tomorrow I shall make a thread right now.

I remember getting my wisdom teeth pulled. I got a dry socket and it was so painful. I had to go get it packed with gauze soaked in something and it stopped hurting. They gave me some pain pills after I got it done, but they didn't do anything for the dry socket. I hope you don't get a dry socket.

Ohhh dear! I hope not, either. Sorry you had to go through that.

Last thing I remember: "Open your mouth real wide."

Hahaha. Today was pretty trippy because of that. Ugh. I have no idea what they gave me but it KNOCKED ME OUT and made me all dizzy and whooooaaahhhhh. I don't think I want to become a drug addict.

Eh, enough of me talking about that. I do feel much, much better now though.

I want to challenge everyone to vote on the short story competition. I know I haven't voted yet but there are two really good stories and it's a hard choice. It only takes a few minutes to read them and the VOTE! (I'm going to go vote right now)

http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33866
This is a pretty good challenge if I do say so myself!

Ok...Well I shall issue a challenge for tomorrow then and until Lily or Anza resumes I (or if someone else wants to do it) will try, emphasis on try, to post a challenge everyday. Ok? Does that work for everyone?

Tomorrow's challenge:

Make a new friend on litnet! Either introduce yourself to a newbie in the Introductions threads or send a PM to someone you don't know- be nice to someone, brighten their day and don't let the friendship end as the day does!

motherhubbard
05-03-2008, 10:56 AM
OK- I'm going to go talk to strangers now!

motherhubbard
05-03-2008, 11:25 AM
is everyone making friends?

What is the next challenge?

AdoreroDio
05-04-2008, 12:21 AM
next challenge- post a post about this thread in your blog (or create a blog if you don't have one)- call more to arms!

sprinks
05-04-2008, 02:21 AM
Took me a while to read this right... Everytime I read "post a post" I got confused for some reason! So basically we just have to spread the word via our blog about this thread? To recruit more people? Sounds pretty easy! :)

AdoreroDio, this stopped because there was weirdness going on at home... see my blog. You are newly in charge of the efforts, here. The thread is yours. I will be posting ideas at my blog under the category of "revive Litnet"
Thank you so much for your support.

PeterL

An excellent action to take would be to increase the maximum length for stories in the short story contest to 4000 or 5000 words. 2000 words, the present limit, is almost enough to get started with.

*salutes* right-e-o captain. Thanks and your welcome- just doing my duty.:D

To Peter- The challenges are things everyone can do- we have no sway in the word lengths for the short story contests- sorry.

I have a question for everyone- seeing as new ideas will at some point become hard to come up with everyday I was wondering what you thought to a bi-daily challenge meaning one challenge every two days. This would also help those litnetters who want to participate but aren't on every day. Please give me a yes or no and as soon as I have a group consensus I will begin or not begin to do this only once every two days. Thanks!

Also, I will post the challenges in green and bold so that you can see them easily.

I am terrible, here I was excited to revive this wonderful thread and then I let my busy life entangle me AND I don't post for 8 DAYS! I am terribly sorry. Seeing as the bi-daily thingy hasn't become a majority from now on I will be on here daily to post a challenge until more people say otherwise. You have my promise.

Todays challenge: Post in a thread you've never posted in before, more than once! Then come tell us about the thread, in this thread! (For those new to this thread posting in this thread doesn't count ;) :p )

Tomorrows challenge: Use Smilies in every one of your posts today! Brighten up your posts.

Me first- I posted in two new threads because after no response to mine in the first one I didn't think I could post more than once in that thread before getting of the computer. The first thread I visited I can't remember the exact name of but is the "Challenge Thread:Stephanie Plum- Joe or Ranger" or something like that. Pretty interesting but not many people know who Joe and Ranger are, as I didn't until I read the thread and read up on it.
The second thread I visited was "Which Authors Life Most Intrigues You".
