[B-Mental]

Nik is one of my favorite members on this sight. I wrote this poem about a woman I was dating when I was in the Army. Anyways, the references are strictly chess. Its all about strategy.


Game Undecided (Maria)

In October I decided,
. and our silence I did break.
Your response to move your pawn
. was the first move you would make.
Now that it was my turn
. indecision did sink in.
You made your move once more
. and it seems you'd struck again.
To compensate for your fierce barrage
. I rebounded back times two.
Much to my amazement
. it seems that so had you.
Your first blow didn't stun me
. for you see I was prepared
But with your second, a secret weapon
. for my sake I was scared.
My composure did I regain
. I did not dilly dally.
A two-in-one combination
. it appears to be a rally!

This is really neat. The concept of chess is cool too and reminds me of a essay I wrote once on viewing life as a large game of chess. It was a nice poem to read. Thank you for sharing with us!
