Spring Forth

Turn your dirt over before you plant,
You know, spring is coming,
Some tiny leaf is trying to find its way out of you,
And it will do it, soft dirt or not,
Whether you want it to or not,
Your green will show, perhaps popping out
In a place unexpected, you yourself, surprised,
Tend it with devotion, your gift, not for yourself
But for others, this talent of yours,
Be ready to get down on your knees.
To fondle the dirt, to soften it for the
Tender shoots of more of you.

i really liked this. i thought this bit:

Some tiny leaf is trying to find its way out of you,
And it will do it, soft dirt or not,
Whether you want it to or not,

was particularly effective.:)

This has something, penetratingly beatigful expressions, for in your touch life manifests. Life is indeed like a cycle oif seasons and it goes on changing all the while whether or not we like it, for change is indispensible, and we can not do away with it. If change is not there life will be a bore, and of course we will be fed up with this in a while.

Thank you Blaze. What you say is true about life cycles...round and round goes the circle of life...but even more, it's the specialness of each individual, their purpose so important.

And Kiz, thank you again. Because of you I remembered to post it here. :)

Such rich soil! Spring, gardening, and so much more in this one. And the cameo appearance of the Green...a mystery from the past?

It seems to have been awhile since you put one of these gems out for us to see. Your delivery is so smooth and effortless in appearance, but this goes way below the topsoil. I enjoyed it very much.

I liked this part Amp--

Your green will show, perhaps popping out
In a place unexpected, you yourself, surprised,

Always let your voice show in your poetry. This will attract admirers and blind those who don't want to see anything anyway! :)

Thank you Fire and Pen. I've been a dead poet it seems. Well, not dead, just in a coma maybe. I'd start on something and then give up and sink back into my sleep, fitful though it was.
