HAPPY ST. PADDY'S DAY!!!

I think I will celebrate it by watching a marathon of one of the greatest shows in the history of television, "Father Ted"! :D I'll enjoy the marathon with a nice big bowl of those Lucky Charms you're offering, Niamh, and a LARGE Shamrock Shake. :D Actually, drama, those cookies look good, too. :)

Can't wait to down some green beer! :D

Goodness, that brought back a memory from many years ago in some bar in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico. Eeek, I had to spend a couple of weeks there once for work and apparently it was over St. Patrick's Day. Nothing to do but drink green beer and listen to people tell their sob stories. :D

Actually, as wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Patricks_Day) claims, this year the St. Patricks Day was on 15th of March.

But well, who the hell gives a damn anyway. It is an excuse to get drunk on something and any day is good enough for that.
So cheers and stuff.

The mass was celebrated on the 15th but the other celebrations are still today. The Mass cant be during holy week. Stupid church!!!!:D

What do you celebrate at St. Patricks day???

Well...generally St.Patrick...He was one of the first people to bring christianity to Ireland and then there are all the myths about him driving snakes out of Ireland etc. Its really a religious occasion but over the years its become more of a national symbol of Ireland, and being Irish than the church in Ireland. eveyone celebrates it in their own way, even people who arent christian, because like i said, its not really a church hol anymore...St. Patricks day is to the Irish, what Independance day is to Americans. If you get me.

I have no idea what they're celebrating but there's lots of beer beer, more beer and some corn beef and cabbage and then more BEER

jk. St. Patricks day is what Niamh said, but to a lot of people it's a good excuse to have a beer and wear green beads and a big leprechan hat and then drink more beer.
