Ya know when you buy clothes and attached are those extra buttons or thread? Do you keep them or do you throw them out?

I keep them but I lose them every time. I don't know why I try keeping them.

Keep 'em of course! Buttons are easy to sew on if you lose one. Anyone can do it.

I keep them and put them in a big coffee can. I like to sew and they come in handy.

Same here. I put them away somewhere, for later when I'll need them, but I never remember where I put them.

I've got a - mostly tidy - sewing-basket where I keep everything I need for mending things, needles, pins, threads in all kinds of colours and a box of buttons. I put all the new buttons and threads there so they're not hard to find when I need them.

I have a collection of those buttons, and they're all still in their little packaging - it's always either a little white envelope or plastic stapled shut. I've never sewn a spare one on, but I keep the buttons. I do have a dress that is missing a button, but of course, I don't know where the matching extra button to that dress is.

I used to keep them but like shal the one time I needed a button I couldn't find the one I needed so I gave up. Although I have to admit that everytime get thosde little button packages I have the urge to save them.

Like Virg, keep them usually in the pockets of whatever it is than lose them.

Buttons Lol I never thought about it.
I usually just leave them hanging off the side until either they fall off or i get a new garment and by the time I did buttons are i am afraid gone.
In other words I do not pay attention to them. ;)

I give them to my Mum and she keeps them in a little drawer full of sewing equipment. But if I ever need them I sew them on myself, even if it usually does look a lot worse than if I let her do it. :)

I didn't know there were extra buttons on clothes. Of course I mainly buy jeans and t-shirts.
However, I put together the base for a bed recently and there were extra screws and plastic dowels as well as some other stuff that I can't describe. It was a cheap kit. After it was assembled, my daughter read the directions and told me I was supposed to stick these odd plastic pieces somewhere that I could no longer reach. Oh, well. I've still got this stuff but in a place where it will likely be tossed if I ever clean it. By that time I won't remember what it went with anyway. I do say to myself, "Maybe I'll need this for something in the future?" But I never do.

Even when they come in little plastic bags attached to the garment?

Yes. I never take them off I leave them there for some reason. I don't sow because I assume they are there for that in case you one or two. and so I do not pay attention. Sometimes I don't even know they are there lol
they ought to do with earings though I lose them all the time. I am always left with one. I had a drawer full of odd earings and not one pair.lol
