Four Legs Good

As the title oh-so-cunningly suggests, I'm new to this site. Anyway, I'm Naoise, an Irish Junior Cert student, perky, prone to comma abuse but a Grammar Nazi in most walks of life (punctuation and life, after all, are synonymous). Lynne Truss is, like, my heroine, though I detest the word 'heroine'. Semi-colons should be a subject that one can study at university level. Yeah, I'm cool, I know.

Apart from my blatant punctuation-nerdism, I have the attention span of a gnat and am easily distracted by glowing things and bright colours, but if I'm into a book I go into a total trance. Seriously, I've had people punch me without my noticing it much in reading-mode. I worship George Orwell (look at the username, people), and Virginia Woolf, the Bronte Sisters, Chuck Palahniuk, Dave Eggers, Jane Austen and Ernest Hemmingway are my other favourites out of a hell-load more books. It seems like an odd mix, but don't let that fool you– it is an odd mix.

Also, I like art and smoothies, though not necessarily at the same time. One is more fattening than the other, but apart from that, they occupy equal levels of adulation in my sick little world.

Ciao!
