You can’t get there
from here. All of the maps
were written in the urine
of an endangered species
and can only be read
in the dark. By the side of the road
(if you could find it) lie
torn and bleeding Hummers
mewling piteously. All of the pilgrims
have gone to the Brothel
of Logical Mysticism
and are waiting to have their turn
with Sadie. No, you can’t
get there from here.
You can’t even get here
from here.

I don't understand all that you say in the poem
But, I somehow like that last line, it's thought-provoking, it makes the reader feel dizzy. You really have this ability to find cool lines like that.:)

Thanks, hon. Some poems (like this one) are written in a semi-trancelike state and the author follows the implications of one image after another more or less as one does in a dream. In the case of writing the poem, there is an element of adventure in learning when to trust one's intuition. Virtually nothing that is surrendered or forced up out of one's subconscious is without some level of meaning. Conscious meaning, in any case, is often nothing more than following in the ruts of some path that was created previously.

And here I thought you had a run-in with a hummer and ended up in a ditch smelling maps. :D I love you, Prince. Dang it, Sweets, now I'll have to go think too! ;) ;)

Bravo! You are getting quite good with these, I think. Love the allusion to Sexie Sadie. And the last line is so where we are right now, if we are anywhere, you know...what a fvcking limbo.
I do not decry progress of sorts, but it does have to be so expensive. Industry has turned us around more than once or twice and now we are so lost as to what to do.
I see shades of Emerson and Thoreau here. I am a big fan of this one, Prince!!

And possibly a soupçon of Nietzsche? a dab of Wittgenstein?

At last! Someone who is capable of reading the sub-text!

The punch line is a killer!
I liked this verse much, much better than the book with the same title by Shirley MacLaine. No offense to Shirley, but reincarnation is a bunch of bilgewater. I mean, I'm all for recycling, but this is ridiculous!

Twice I’ve tried to comment and twice I’ve been interrupted so apparently I can’t get there from here!
