Death and Oreos

No good can I see in the world
Death and despair
Rape and murder
Sickness and famine
Oreos on sale this week
Three soldiers killed in a car bomb
Oreos sound good, come to think of it.

I didn't get the relation here between the death and Oreos. Would you like to clarify this please?

It s just about how death and the like are pretty much an after thought in today's society. Soldiers died, whats new? We're surrounded by death, we have become desensitized to it.So, really, the point is there is no relation between Oreos and death, but death is so inconsequential, it doesn't matter. Imagine it as if you are watching TV, lets say CNN, and you see these horrible stories and then a commercial for Oreos. Another story comes, but you don't care, you just want Oreos. I guess that is about as clear as I can make it.
