I watch my Sun appear,
He rises in the East of my heart,
Giving warmth, his light and love
Falls on my face so gently,
All about me I hear softly
The birdsong of a new day,
As I see, as I sense, as I love,
The Sunrise of my Beloved.

i`m breathless.
that was beautiful, i could feel every line in my very core.
he brings light to your world, creates the day, he is everything.
well that`s just the thoughts and feeling i got from it.
it was short and yet held so much, i`m curious as how it read if it were longer.
just thinking out loud.
made my day just that much better reading your poem
thanks

Lucid, My first reply, to your response was inacurate... This poem is prophetic for me, as the person mentioned is not in my life yet... He has yet to rise as the Sun in my life, when he does I am sure he will inspire me further...

then i pray for the day that he does come
hopefully soon because, i am very interested in this poem and i`m sure with love comes great inspiration.
many thanks for sharing your feelings here, it`s a shame it wasn`t read by more people though.

He may not be in your life as yet but he is assured of a warm welcome when he arrives. An echo of John Donne in this?

Loved it. Thanks.
