Life and Death
by mazHur

We live to die
Or we die to live;
What's true?
What's false?
Nobody knows
Yet everybody surmises;
Some say
This life is a transition
in time and space;
Some say life begins
Only after death;
It's all confusion,
Total flummox;
The Human mind
Is more wary of death;
That unseen reality
Which animals beamingly face
Every moment
Without fear of losing
This momentous life
Which in any or all events
Is surely going to transcend
Into eternal life called death;
Human fear of unseen things
Imparts a new look
A new vision
To the Ultimate Truth-
The everlasting life after death.
Perchance death was
A temporary phenomenon,
Atleast someone had returned
From the everlasting world
Of the hereafter;
But as no one did
It's patently clear
This life is nothing,
Not a bit of the other life
Most humans are afraid of;
Although they know it for sure,
Wthout asking or telling
That one day any moment anywhere
Will clutch their breath
And take them away
To a world anew
Where death has no existence!

What a intriguing poem about life and death. It's good to see you back here Mazhur after a long gap.

I really liked followings lines in your poem:

Some say
This life is a transition
in time and space;

This momentous life
Which in any or all events
Is surely going to transcend
Into eternal life called death;

To a world anew
Where death has no existence!

I've written "Emancipation of Soul" recently in which I've also ended something like which resembles with yours:

shelter this soul to that place
where none of the worldly pain can touch.

Thank you for sharing Mazhur!
