I'm talking disney films, cartoons, comic heroes, TV programmes; which character did you want to be when you were younger?
I always wanted to be Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty simply because she was so beautiful and so in love with Prince Phillip.
Also, Esmeralda from The Hunchback of NotreDame because of her colourful dresses and great gypsy dancing :thumbs_up

Robin Hood, no question.
Relatives inform me that I was also horribly infatuated with The Little Mermaid (though I can't say I wanted to be her!).

 Hahaha, that's sweet...
Are you sure about that Jamesian? Didn't you want those lovely red locks and seashell bra?

I've always liked Jasmine from "Aladdin", rebellious, spirited, and funny. And I cannot say I am immune to charming dark-haired boys...

Why would you even start this???? This will allow me to go off on my absolute obsession with wanting to be Belle!!! I have had this desire to be her since I first saw the movie of "Beauty and the Beast"! We are SOOOO much alike in SOOO many ways! Even to the fact that we end up falling for the beasts out there. Unfortunately mine never seem to turn into a prince. ;) Besides, she not only has the best ballgown, and will get to live in the best castle, but she gets to have some of the best music to sing to! :D
Anyway, the only way that I can "become" her is if I could get a role in the musical. Well, there were auditions here for it recently. When I discussed this with my voice teacher, she encouraged me to audition by saying "You LOOK like her!". Unfortunately I wasn't able to audition for a reason that I can't discuss. It just makes me mad to even think about it (this involves something with the theater company). :flare: Anyway, at some point in time, I WILL be Belle! I have to be! It is like it is a destiny for me to be on stage somewhere belting out one of her tunes. :)
By the way, awhile I go I took a quiz to see which Disney princess I would become and guess who it was??? Of course, it was Belle! Who else? :p

Good lord! That's a mixture of strange and just plain cute LadyW...
Unfortunately, I never have looked like Sleeping Beauty OR Esmeralda *sniffle* In fact, I don't resemble any of the disney princesses in any way; perhaps I should just crawl back under my troll bridge? He he he.

Well, that would have frightened me because I couldn't swim...among other things.

Yeah, it is kind of strange! :p
As far as looking like any of them, I think that was one of the things that I really liked about her. Who did I see as a kid? Snow White had that black hair, Aurora and Cinderella were blondes, and Arial was a redhead. For some reason brown hair seems to be so boring to people. So, when this girl was created with brown hair, that was so nice! Finally someone to "relate" to! :D

Oh wait... I just thought of another brunette - Jane from Tarzan! But I think that she and Belle are the only "Princesses" with brown hair (and Jane isn't really a Princess).
Anyone think of any more?

Am I the only one who loves Donald Duck? :) I am not sure I wanted to be him, but I wanted to be his friend for sure. He still makes me laugh.

Aurora from Sleeping Beauty is a good one...I had my little read along records and she was my favorite when I was little. Jessica Rabbit would be fun for a while, and Blossom from the Power Puff Girls

When I was a kid I always wanted to be tinkerbell but I wouldn't want to be her now that I realize how moody and mean she was, second was always Belle. I loved the clothing and I'M ADDICTED TO BOOKS. So yes, I had quite a mix of who I wanted to be. Cinderella was always up at the top too.

But he had human like flaws.
And the Evil characters in it were not absolutely Evil but had some inherent goodness to start with.

I always thought Popeye was cool. I'm not sure I'd ever wanted to sound like I'm drowning and singing at the same time every time I laughed though.

Strangely enough, I am rarely sarcastic in person; perhaps my sarcastic outbursts are reserved for the internet only :)

Because she wasn't that developed on Beavis and Butthead, I was kind of surprised when she got her own show. I always liked the monotone that she spoke with. :p

I say they saw the potential in the character and what they could do with her! They dont show daria anymore over here and the only time the Daria movie was ever shown on tv here it was on channel 5 which most homes dont have.... gotta love her sarcasm!

yes - Sailor Moon! I was totally in love with Darien/Tuxedo Mask/etc so I wanted to be Sailor Moon since he was her love interest.
But really I always identified much more closely with Sailor Mercury.
Embarrassingly, I was like 14/15 when I watched Sailor Moon, so not so much a kid.
