Oh my last mark is a Nightwish lyrics ;), go have a look. And here's another one (most fave of mine recently)

Ghost Love Score

We used to swim the same moonlight waters
Oceans away from the wakeful day

My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
If you be the one to cut me
I'll bleed forever
My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
If you be the one to cut me
I'll bleed forever

Scent of the sea before the waking of the world
Brings me to thee
Into the blue memory

My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
If you be the one to cut me
I'll bleed forever
My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
If you be the one to cut me
I'll bleed forever

Into the blue memory

A siren from the deep came to me
Sang my name, my longing
Still I write my songs about that dream of mine
Worth everything I may ever be

The Child will be born again
That siren carried him to me
First of them true loves
Singing on the shoulders of an angel
Without care for love n' loss

Bring me home or leave me be
My love in the dark heart of the night
I have lost the path before me
The one behind will lead me

Bring me home or leave me be
My love in the dark heart of the night
I have lost the path before me
The one behind will lead me

Take me
Cure me
Kill me
Bring me home
Every way
Every day
Just another loop in the hangman's noose

Take me, cure me, kill me, bring me home
Every way, every day
I keep on watching us sleep

Relive the old sin of Adam and Eve
Of you and me
Forgive the adoring beast

Redeem me into childhood
Show me myself without the shell
Like the advent of May
I'll be there when you say
Time to never hold our love

My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
You were the one to cut me
So I'll bleed forever
(to fade)

Jay, Whats The Genre Of This Band?

Jay
10-28-2004, 10:02 PM
gothic metal, some call it rock, it's something metal/rock-ish I think. Not good at genres. Interested already? ;)

subterranean
10-28-2004, 10:12 PM
dont u think thev lyric is too sweet for a gothic band?

Jay
10-28-2004, 10:15 PM
Said I was no good with genres, they usually put them under gothic metal, I don't really care, all I need to know is if I like or not.

subterranean
10-28-2004, 10:36 PM
gothic is outdated now :D..also black leather suits and thight pants.:)

Does it really matter if it's your birthday or not, despite that days trivial significange you are still jsut another day closer to death, birthday or no. But hopefully those days, be they birthdays or not are pleasant enough to pass the time with.

Jay
10-30-2004, 12:54 PM
Well, I don't like my birthdays. But I think it DOES matter if it's my b-day or not. For one thing, other people have different opinions about birthdays than you or me.

happy unbirthday crisaor.

simon
11-01-2004, 06:08 PM
If replacing means the vomited, regurgitated remains from the tomb of a large felines stomach, I'll pass on dessert, just some hot lemon water and a scented tree to cast off any untworthy smells thank you.

Stanislaw
11-01-2004, 07:30 PM

Cone hat? *frowns* explain :p

I was insinuating you would have to wear a dunce cap.

I am not exactly sure of the origin of the dunce cap, but I think it was used in history as a public scolding of students. To curb poor behavior, an instructor could make a child stand in a corner, and wear a big, cone-shaped hat (or 'dunce cap'), in order to make a boy or girl feel badly about his or her actions. If someone can add enlightenment on this subject matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

And Jay, you don't have to wear a hat. I am just playing with you.

It's been a long time since my last post.. so hello everyone again!!

Hey Jay, about Nightwish, yes, I like them!! last 5th of november I went to see them in Barcelona (Spain), their live concert is really good.. incredible!! They played after Sonata Artica. Have you listenned 'Gethsename'? or 'the kingslayer'? I love those 2 songs!! Do you like the new single 'Nemo'?

Anyway.. happy birthday lol :)

Jay
11-11-2004, 09:14 PM
No bithday... well, if things keep going like they are this thread might be accurate soon :D

Jessika
11-12-2004, 05:55 AM
Yeah, sure :)
However, i will ask you my first question here to see if somebody else knows the answer: do you know something about the redeemers? 'The Kinslayer' is dedicated to them but i am not sure who they are :?

By the way, how did you first knew about them?

I think i will post that song here to give the context:
(anyway, here you have the url: http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/nightwish/wishmaster.html#2 )

The Kinslayer

For whom the gun tolls
For whom the prey weeps
Bow before a war
Call it religion

Some wounds never heal
Some tears never will
Dry for the unkind
Cry for mankind

Even the dead cry
- Their only comfort
Kill your friend, I don't care
Orchid kids, blinded stare

Need to understand
No need to forgive
No truth no sense left to be followed

"Facing this unbearable fear like meeting an old friend"
"Time to die, poor mates, You made me what I am!"

"In this world of a million religions everyone prays the same way"

"Your praying is in vain It'll all be over soon"
"Father help me, save me a place by your side!"
"There is no god Our creed is but for ourselves"

"Not a hero unless you die Our species eat the wounded ones"

"Drunk with the blood of your victims
I do feel your pity-wanting pain,
Lust for fame, a deadly game"

"Run away with your impeccable kin!"

"- Good wombs hath borne bad sons..."

Falling for every lie
Survivors' guilt
In us forevermore

15 candles
Redeemers of this world
Dwell in hypocrisy:
"How were we supposed to know"

4 pink ones
9 blue ones
2 black ones

[In memory of the Redeemers 20.4.1999]

What do those numbers mean?

Thaaaaanks ^^

Jay

The numbers of the candles equals to the number of the redeemers though I have no idea who they are/were, sorry Jess :)

*edit* forgot to answer
You mean how I got to know and love Nithwish?
Eemmm... not really sure, I think I was going through thousands of father's mp3s and found a song I liked, made a note of the band name, got more songs, found out I like their style a looooooooooooooot and by now I don't think there's any released song by them I wouldn't have... though yeah, I admit, I still have to get hold of about 4, but they're off the singles and so hard to find.
Actually I'd like to hear how you got to like Nightwish, too. Wonder if maybe you don't have a more cool background story than me? :) Cos mine's totally boring, lol.

ok.. this would be my 3rd attempt to write this..

As i was saying.. hi Jay!! good morning everyone!!

I came to know about them because my sister downloaded two songs (a friend of hers told her to do it) then, i saw the name and i liked it: i mean, i like night and although i don't believe in whises, i think that making a wish in the night is somewhat nostalgic and hey, i like that ^^
So, i decided to try and listen to gethsemane and.. well, you know there are songs you love from the first time you listen to them..? this happened to me :) i loved it :thumbs_up and i think thats the story.. somewhat boring but.. anyway lol

:O i didnt tell you that i am a *looks around* songs line captor (no, not card captor sakura, but songs line captor lol by the way, do you like manga?)
to show this, i will tell you my two favourite lines of gethsemane and the kinslayer:

- "the kinslayer" 'I'm not a hero unless you die' (i loooooooooooooove this one)
- "gethsemane" 'I weep to have what I fear to lose' (this one tooooooo)

hehehe

:O here you have some photos of the Barcelona concert (5/Nov/2004) hope you like them :)

Hey COOL :D. Thanks :D.
What is a songs line.. OH, got it, lol. Then I'm song lyrics captor, lol, my drive is one big lyrics archive, lol. Listening to Nightwish now btw... Elvenpath. Me likes. Now it's Feel For You... soooooooooo great. Just like the rest of their songs :). I shall look at my fave songs' lyrics and chose some lines I looooove for you then :p.
*edit*
*droooools* those drums... hmmmm... sooooo cool... *drools some more*
so I have a thing for drums/drummers :p, sue me

Jay
11-18-2004, 11:23 AM
So here I am, back with a few good lines... :p and it's still not all, but I was falling asleep already, lol
note: the lines between #s mean that the lines make sense only when together; the resst of the lines is just that, took a line I liked and pasted it here

Astral Romance
Candlelight whispers me where to go
The nightwish I sent you centuries ago
Dust of the galaxies take my hand

Angels Fall First
Bury my dreams, dig up my sorrows

Bless The Child
And witnessed the beauty of the beast
Why am I loved only when I'm gone?
As I drank from a cup which was counting my time
Why is the deadliest sin - to love as I loved you?
Hope is only an illusion and Ocean Soul's nothing but a name...

End Of All Hope
No will to wake for this morn
I don't want to die a scarless man
As he died, he will return to die in me again
We're dead to the world

Ever Dream
Heal the scars and change the stars
Turn loose the heaven within

Slaying The Dreamer
I'm but a raft in a sea of sorrow and greed
Swansong for the Wish of Night
Take my life if you have the heart to die

Forever Yours
Whatever walks in my heart will walk alone

Ocean Soul
Crying for me was never worth a tear

Feel For You (all song, maybe this one most: )
Puppet girl, your strings are mine

Beauty Of The Beast
I fear I will never find anyone
I know my greatest pain is yet to come
Will we find each other in the dark
Safely away from the world
For I know now, I'm a puppet on this silent stage show
#All of my songs can only be composed of the greatest of pains
Every single verse can only be born of the greatest of wishes
I wish I had one more night to live#

Dark Chest Of Wonders
It's time to cut the rope and fly

I Wish I Had An Angel
I took a step outside an innocent heart
Burning angelwings to dust
#Old loves they die hard
Old lies they die harder#

Nemo
Without an honest heart as compass

Planet Hell
Not even crossroads to choose from
Save yourself a penny for the ferryman
Mankind works in mysterious ways

Creek Mary's Blood
The bear within will never lay to rest
Following the trail of tears
Sceneries painted beautiful in blood
#Our spirit was here long before you
Long before us
And long will it be after your pride brings you to your end#

The Siren
The winds talk to my sails, not me

Romanticide
Happy hunting, you double-faced carnivore
The kiss of faith is what I beg
A loving heart and soul for sale
And cease to tell me how to feel
See me ruined by my own creations
'Till love do me part
And try to survive your stupidity

Come Cover Me
Come cover me with you
Come comfort me in you
In war for the love of you
November dressed in May on your face

Bare Grace Misery
I am the dark side of you

Deep Silent Complete
In your creation heaven did decree
That in your arms sweet death should dwell

Dead Boy's Poem
If only my heart had a home
Teach me passion for I fear it's gone

I noticed there are some Nightwish fans around here. Apparently, the band has many followers where I live. They're doing a concert tonight I think. And if I'm not mistaken, you can watch it over the internet live. You can find more about it in Tarja's (http://www.tarjaturunen.com/) site (check latest news), or here (www.cmtv.com.ar), where it's supposed to be transmitted.

First, click on the http://www.online-literature.com/forums/images/editor/createlink.gif button. It will display a bar asking you to enter a text to be displayed for the link. You can now enter the word you wish (in my case, that was "here"). Then, it asks you to write the HTML adress of the link. Do that. Voila!

and oh..i checked out the links and i can't find anything related to night wish...i mean the tarja site..only show a pic of a cute gal..so...
Check above the picture. You have to choose in what languaje you wish to view the site. Then you are free to go.

But do you understand german? do you like songs in a language different from yours?
(i've found people who even hate music in other languages they don't understand or speak)

Stanislaw
11-26-2004, 06:13 PM
I can get by in german, I can write better than I speak.

But I can't speak russian yet I listen to alot of russian folk. Personally I like music for the sound, not neccesarily for the meaning, but I like both aspects of rammstein

Jessika
11-26-2004, 06:51 PM
:O could you please translate 'in amerika' ??? I dont understand german and i would like to know what they say apart from cocacola, santaclaus lol

I also like some songs by what they say and other songs by their rythm.
(but sometimes i like songs with a meaning that i dont like.. what do you do in those cases? well, first, has it happened to you too?

Jay
11-28-2004, 02:28 PM
Oh, re the Rammstein, found out the song's name, it's (Die) Sonne. About the only one I know and I like, lol

Jay

Jay

Jessika
11-29-2004, 12:32 PM

more or less that would be the translation :)

Jay
11-29-2004, 05:56 PM

It says:
1. Over The Hills And Far Away
[a Gary Moore cover tune]

Gary Moore.. who's he? google google

Hi Sche.. i think that's not the song lol sorry :p

Jessika

Sorry, scottish hero.

Gary Moore wrote the song.
.. i would like the singers, compositors to write the background of their songs, it would be nice :)

Scheherazade
12-09-2004, 12:34 PM
Hi Jessika,

I often wonder that myself as I listen to certain songs... Some of them are so nice that you know they were written for a reason, not to make couple verses rhyme or to sell a few more singles...

Jessika
12-09-2004, 12:43 PM
Yep ^_^ (but then, the magic of certain songs may disappear.. then you would think, hey, what i thought had more enchantment lol so.. lol)

Stanislaw
12-09-2004, 06:41 PM
Sounds a little like the tale of Ned Kelly.

Jessika
12-10-2004, 04:37 AM

By the way, what is your favourite tale? :p

(PD: i forgot to log out yesterday )

Stanislaw
12-10-2004, 11:55 AM
I would have to say the Tale of Ned Kelly is amongst my favourite now. But also the Legends of Ivan hoe, or Robin hood, or even the Arthurian legends (but they seem to be a little over done, lol)
