Hello Forum,
This is my first post on the online literature network. I am as excited as you are. My main purpose for joining this forum is to give me a boost for reading literature.
I am a 21 year old senior at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. I will be graduating this year with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Natural Sciences. After graduation, I am taking a year to work, then applying to medical school. This is an opportune time to do some good reading before the most difficult years of my academic life.
I read all the literature that my high school english classes assigned us, and I did not regret reading any of them, except Tess of the D'Urbervilles (I actually didn't finish that one). So, I am here to return to the enjoyment of reading fiction more regularly. I find it a helpful site for ideas.
I like listening to music: Radiohead, The National, The Arcade Fire, DMB, Sufjan Stevens, Sigur Ros, some classical and jazz. I also play a little bit of music. I like road biking, ping pong, frisbee, basketball. I will soon be engaged. etc. etc. By the way, did I mention that I like philosophy?
