I'm sixteen years old, in year 12, studying English Literature, History, Religious Studies and Classical Civilisation etc etc. Although I know that my chances of getting into Oxford are fairly slim, my English teachers have been encouraging, and I think I'm probably going to apply.
Anyway, I'm not sure if this is the right place for the board, but I would be really, really grateful if anyone here who has applied to either Oxford or studied there within the past few years could give me any advice or words of wisdom. I've still got months ahead of me in which to prepare and I'm trying to read as much as I can, so anything from book recommendations to stories about your own experiences at Oxford would be useful.
Oh, and I'm a bit confused about how the system works with applying to certain colleges. How do you find out which is the best one for your subject?
