Waffle, taffle, broffle

I schtoft in my tracks,
and my cardio compact disk
player skipped seven precious
bleats, or so it steamed.

When I came to, I was in
a zooper place: an ernimal
who seven sets of starring
eyes had deprived of his sticky toffee pudding.

'Please, vet my reads, it's
what I needs' (I was once the
bee's needs, or the dog's trotters),
and if you think that you've perceived

a tipsy little bite of sprite
in my bloodstream, fear not!
I am clean, as ethene
turns methane in my hot veinways.

Back to the bleaters; I stargazed
those jubilant days aways, and
sucked the last drop I could take
and then, suddenly, it was all

donne. And waffle, taffle, broffle,
here am I: square nul,
track one, six months on.

I would have liked to respond that you're a breath of French air, but you're a Brit! Or, rather, a Britwit, and a bloody good one! This was fun all the way through!

Many, many thanks!!!

thanks to you both! why French in particular?

I meant it as a play on "a breath of fresh air".
