He is a bit nervous you haven't remarked him until now, but he certainly wants to sing with us:

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne?

CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup of kindness yet,
For auld lang syne!

I came across this latin quote today and I think you'll like it:

VERAE AMICTIAE SEMPITERNAE SUNT = REAL FRIENDS ARE FOREVER

I HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A MARVELLOUS BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hira, my good friend…yes, I did get your lovely card late last night, actually early this morning around 1AM, I think. I tried to send you one, but my computer froze in the site so I started your thread instead. I hope you are enjoying it, my birthday twin. I am going to add a new gift I though of. Thank you for the sweet card with butterflies; I love butterflies!

And yes, Baz, I am 58 today….thanks, if I seem much more youthful. That is a true compliment. I am wise though. Soon I will become a grandmother for the first time ever. I adopt a lot of virtual friends, as well. Your card was lovely. Hey, even a grannie loves to get those red roses! The verse was equally heartfelt. Thank you. Gee, I feel so youthful today!

vheissu, thanks for your well-wishes!

Scherherazade, I love that type-face! Wherever did you find it? It is so cool and I love purple and white stars; reminds me of fireworks….mesmerizing.

My dear friend, manolia, ah… thanks so much for all the thoughtful lovely gifts! I love that flower cake – beautiful. Those antigues are just what I like, but mainly I love that cabinet. I want one just like it. You bet – I do definitely need a copy of "Mulholland Dr." so I can study it some more – can never see that film enough times! I don’t know if I ever told you, but I think and am fairly sure I have been on Mulholland Dr. when I was in LA visiting. Cool, huh? So the last is Lawrence – do I get the real man? I want him in his younger days when he was a frisky pup!

Logos, those yellow roses are gorgeous! They are so sunny and beautiful. Thanks so much!

Niamh, I love the Degas dancers! And Stargazer Lilies are one of my favorite flowers – I grow them in my garden – bring on spring. I make jewelry and I am definitely going to copy this necklace design – I love it! It is so ‘oceany’. I even have some of the pearls pictured. Thanks so much for your thougtfulness.

pussnboots, good friend, thanks so much and for your funny ecard! I loved it.

Sweet Toni, that nosegay is so beautiful. I love pink – another one that reminds me of spring and also my little ‘pink’ grandchild that will be born soon – a girl baby.

What a happy day so far and a great celebration. Thanks again everyone!!!

andave ya Thanks so much for your birthday wishes!

Sleepwitch another sparking Happy Birthday – I love it. This one is a pretty sun color. It is sunny here today for my birthday! Thanks – you must have send me the sun.

downing, my good GOOD true friend….I LOVE all your gifts!!! Those poppies are a feast for the eyes. I love them! They are so red and I wish I was laying in that field - I might be inspirerd to write some lame poetry. That fairy cake is absolutely adorable and looks so yummy. I hate to cut into it; it is too pretty.
Hummmm….c h o c o l a t e…..and I bet there is no calories.
Yes, the huge book cover photo is a bit….hummm..how can I say it…. ‘hormonal’….
Is that Lawrence singing, too? Hahaha – he is not nervous, he is just thinking of how to show me a great birthday….is that a bit ‘hormonal’ for you???
I love the Latin quote. I will keep that by me always and think of you!

Thanks to you and everyone…I am having A MARVELLOUS BIRTHDAY!

Sleepwitch, you know what I like. Ou la la! I like Ken in black leather. Last night I watched "Dead Again" - I love that film! Mostly cause of cute Ken and especially playing the role of Roman....that bedroom kiss is the best!
I will definitely have fun unwrapping Ken tonight (in my dreams!)

I love that movie! And there aren't many people who have actually seen it (or remember?).

I know what you mean, Scher, but there are a few of us who, the hardened KB fans, who simply love it. I have seen it a dozen times, at least, I am sure.... since I own it....part of my cherished KB collection. Last night I said to myself "which movie do I love and really desire to watch again?" Once again it won out.... and wowy, I love that scene when Roman gives Margaret the anklet; is that romantic or what? How a hand kiss can be so hot is really commentable. Andy Garcia is not bad to look at either. The film is really interesting, isn't it? So different. :thumbs_up

OM gosh, my golly! I turn my head for a moment and 3 more well wishers have arrived!
Virgil, I love your presents! That volume of letter certainly looks interesting. I think I will copy the photo and put into my photo program and crop out that neat phoenix symbol. I can use it somewhere on my page...cool. The kitten and puppy picture is so cute.

Papayahed, I know some people who also love this film. If you go to the Kenneth Branagh Compendium, you can find thousands who love it! I have a whole KB film collection by now. I watch them over and over again....kind of could say I am slightly obsessed. Thanks for your birthday wishes, Papayahed and if I had a DVD burner, I would burn you a copy of DA.

:lol:Oh Shalot, you are shameless.... I think I will be able to go to the Oscars next year, now that I own thee dress! Does this make me a real actress, too?

I went ahead and got this for you, too:

Hi Pensive, my good friend, thanks so much for all the cool gifts. You can never be too late; I love keeping my birthday going. I fully understand about your computer problems.
I love that bookshelf full of DVD's - yes my dream to have that many to choose from. That cake looks scrumptious and oh so 'healthy'. I love carrot cake! We will share it and get all that nutrition from the yummy icing.
And another great Lawrence poster to add to my collection. Thanks for everything!

Dearest friend, LadyWentworth, you know what I like and have been longing for lately...yes - "The Magic Flute"! I was on Youtube the other night watching countless videos from the film, for hours. I can't wait to see it. If one can get it in 'all region '- I have a player - well a region 2. Do you think I can buy it yet? I think actually, if the film is designated "All Region" it will play anywhere. Guess what I watched for my birthday last night?
Yes, KB's "Hamlet" for the zillionth time. I am only up to Intermission. Will watch second half tonight. It is a 'birthday tradition' with me.

March 11 - I will be there in the theater!!! Believe it! I can't wait to see the new "Sleuth". I was also watching trailers for that and commentary from Branagh on Youtube. That Youtube is almost as addictive as Lit Net!

Thanks for the cool videos. Can't wait to see them and eventually own them both (you know - for my collection).
