i am not good k but i try my best please tell me to add more things
firstly when you read a poem you need to feel the atmosphere, emotions and also conditions of the poem they are usually irony and are filled with meanings above them like a layer of bread ontop of jam.

you need to make use of point explanation and the evidence point of view to understand the poem.
ask yourself these questions

what is the feeling i get from it?

what is the poet trying to emphasize, invoke, tell, paint, depict?

what are the nature elements in use?

what is the tone used in this? is it harsh, polite, comical?

when is this poem written probably?

where can we find the depiction of the poem?

Do a search-up of the words you don't know about.
remember that there are no absolute answers good vocabulary are
not that crucial you need to have a good understanding of the poem
and give sensible answers

from each sentence draw out a conclusion and with the (PEE) guideline
you write down the point you are trying to make then evidence and explanation of the conclusion and what feeling you get from it.
basically almost all poems _(show, don't tell)- you need to understand that they want you to tell
i hope this helped you i am just very bored ok
HEY, AT LEAST I TRIED

What is being said vs. what is meant. Study in irony otherwise poets like Dickinson or Chaucer will be less profitable.
