my homework is to find as many people's opinions on acting within the play, so i thoought this would be an adaquate place to post the question

Honestly, Hamlet was corrupt not mad. He chose to go crazy. Kinda like Hitler....But his Uncle (I think I'm, thinking of the right guy) he acted, but not very well, easily spooked!

Well said, PacoPaco.

Old Hamlet's ghost is a chauvinist and an egotist. Gertrude's as straightforward as George Washington. Polonius is sleazy, a politician. Ophelia's a jewel, but loyal to so many, she's disloyal to all. Laertes is hot-heated with wilting integrity.

I just acted in a 20 minute adaptation of Hamlet - playing Hamlet and I am working on two scenes of Hamlet. I played Hamlet without madness and it worked fine. I have adapted the actions to not have madness. For example in act 3, scene 1 i am tormenting Ophelia not just yelling. I don't know what kind of advice I'm using but iI hope it helps!
