The Fall

and the dry leaves are around me
and the dry wind has found me
beneath the sand and the snow
beneath where you are now

in my nest
where I and my dry leaves rest
in my nest
here where the dry wind blows best
beneath where you are now

collecting nothings and
whispering dreams

but this all was
before winter and before my dawn
before the pain in his white arm
before heaven lost to hell
before the collector said, oh well

collecting dry leaves in my nest here where the dry wind blows best
collecting a few dry leaves and letting you collect the rest

"collecting nothings and
whispering dreams"

that line really caught my attention, and it`s very powerful

the poem, to me, seems to be about someone who has lost someone precious to them...

"beneath the sand and the snow
beneath where you are now"

it sounds as if your referring to heaven, and the collector seems to be god.

this is a great poem to get you into the boards, and welcome to them by the way:D
it reminds me of a porcupine tree song, The Creator Had A Master Tape
