We've become everything
We used to make fun of
Silly school girls and boys
Who truly think they're in love
Devote their lives to
A lost cause romance
Silly school girls and boys
Who attend every high school dance

It becomes the epitamy of affection
Hoping for just one kiss
This is my reflection

We live our lives in cliches
My words are now trembling
Then something falls from grace
I still don't know what that means

With so many ways to say "I love you"
We try to disguise these words
With cookie cutter dates like
A sentimental movie and an unexpensive dinner

I don't want to hurt you
Patience is a virtue
Why do we do this?
Because ignorance is bliss

I'm dropping every line I've ever heard before
Who cares about original anymore?
Now tell me where I went wrong
Was it with this parody of a love song

Now cut your wrists or arm
It's supposed to make everything better
I heard it in a thousand songs
Maybe you could send me a bloody letter

I'd write your name in the stars
I'd slide a message under your door
We are all guilty copy cats
Because it's all been done before

I'd kill myself to save your life
You love watching me bleed
I already know what you're going to say
IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S ME

I actually began to like the way you ran all those clichés together. One or two would have been lousy writing, but the whole bunch was a tapestry!
