La, dee, dee,
Dee, la, la.
In my song which has no words,
Hope steadily drives upwards.
Propelling the kite that once was fleeting,
It now flies higher no longer bleating.
Optimism turns my soul a golden hue,
So many new things emerge for me to do.
I wish to nap with lions in the Serengeti,
Perhaps with one whose name is Nancy?
When I awaken and see daylights last glimmer,
I shall get upon a bicycle and break the sound barrier.
Afterwards many lives will then become tearless,
As I cure cancer using the wings of a praying mantis.
Alas, but these are only fantasies and nothing more,
Never will they come to be despite hope feeding my core.
This I know and this I accept,
This I hate and can never forget.
However sometimes I go against my understanding,
Far from rational is this pointless stranding.
Like right now here I am staring up at the nights sky of endless black silk,
Wondering if I will ever see the other side of the moon in a glass of milk.
La, dee, dee,
Dee, la, la.

i like the way this is going
full of emotions and desires
exactly what a poem should be
however i have only one problem with this poem
you seam to be restrained by the rhyme scheme
but i can`t really say anything as i do it all the time

sorry about ranting on like that

to close my endless complaints, i have to say i really like your voice in this poem and some of the lines are absolutely beautiful

...Optimism turns my soul a golden hue,...

that line brought happiness to my very core
