Ever been in a position where you know you should be...

Working?
Studying?
Doing something important!?

But...
You - can't - be - arsed

SOMETIMES, you just have to step back
& and think "sod it!"
I don't see the harm in being lazy once in a while, its good for you!

:D

Any thoughts?

Oh I know about being lazy. Sometimes, you just CAN'T do anymore of what you should be doing. So, this weekend, I didn't leave the house. I came home from work on Friday and stayed home all weekend. I spent most of the time sitting around. I did a little school work, but only that which I felt like doing. I watched best of Chris Farley and Best of Alec Baldwin Saturday night live. Awesome stuff. I didn't know Chris Farley could ice skate, and Alec Baldwin is a lot more talented than I gave him credit for. And I got all that just from being lazy this weekend. And i got up today feeling slightly recharged. I think I am due some more lazy time.

you've got to check it out. He has hosted it several times and on his best of DVD, there are old episodes when he was younger and there are newer ones where he's older. He does a really good Robert Deniro. It surprised me because I thought he was just a pretty Baldwin brother but he's really funny actually. He's just great. Of course, in his earlier skits he used a little too much hair gel...

BTW: I like your avatar Weis.

I agree with you, LadyW. I've been in this position many times. Especially, when you have to study maths (back in the high-school days), or when you have to prepare the next day's teaching....

But math is soooooooooo interesting. :p

(and FUN!)

I always find a way to justify my lazyness. ;) For example, by procrastinating, I am actually, in a sense, planning ahead. The later I do the homework, the fresher it will be in my mind when I need to use the information. :D

EDIT: Oh, and I'm a big fan of multi-tasking. I feel much better about myself if I'm browsing litnet with an opened textbook on my lap. ;)

I probably do this far too much. The trouble is that, even if I waste hours putting off homework/studying, in the end I'm the nerd who will load up on coffee and get it done afterwards anyway, at the cost of a night's sleep.

That said, it's 1:22 a.m. and Faulkner, Camus, and Milton are still waiting for me. 'Night, LitNet...
