21 barrells and 21 heads
21 men, now they're 21 dead

A mother lost a son
A son lost a father
A brother lost a brother
A father will never see his daughter

I've cried
For all of those
Who never should have died
To take the ones with lives worth living
To see the stains of blood still spilling
It brings me to my knees
When will conflict be done
Father still has a son
He needs to see

I've mourned
For all of those
Who will never see their baby being born
I'm begging you sincerely
God, our faith is disappearing

-i wrote this a while ago, after my unit 1st Bn 8th Mar, got back from Iraq when they did the sweep of Fallujah. We were all at the memorial service for our brothers, they had 21 rifles all capped with kevlars. it was right after that service that i wrote this.

This poem is marvellous and of course there is some great message in what you wrote. I feel faith is disappearing gradually for we have seen that there is no justice, for what we call eternal justice is not existent at all.

I feel the pain as the words depict the situation here in this poem.
