Others say just outspoken
Vent for Machismo

 One thinks I'm kind, the other thinks I'm rude. I guess I'm schitzophrenic. :p Thanks both. I'll have to think of some Haikus For You here too.

Virgil,
I would never say
That I think you are crabby
But, I fear your wrath
I'm only joking- I think you're a peach!

Ok MH. Let me know if I have the form right.
For my first baby
Tiny with talent
Limber and strong she dances
Until she makes my heart swell
A smile on her face
for hours upon hours
Silently labors

The heart of us all
Keeping us honest and true
Pen leads us back home
Prince
Grumpy and lonely
He searched for his true lover
And found little Sweets
Poppy
My heart and my soul
So many years and hoping
For more with my Dan

I sit and ponder
about what the next words are
to make haiku ... ;)

From things that I write,
she envisions mortal strength...
I think her stronger...
Those that are silent,
have hidden depths unseen
where great power lies...
Said He not "The meek
shall inherit the Earth." Speakers
are not needed...faith
An Orator might
explain too much for wonder
to hold the eyes long
but with simple words
she could make it beautiful,
and the glory spread...

WOW Pen- In my 'unbiased' opinion this is the best one on the thread so far.
Thank you my dear friend

Oh Granny, that is so nice. Let me say that my visits to the South have always been wonderful. I was about to list all the southern states I've been to, I can say i've been to all of them except for Arkansas and Mississippi. Southern people are just so "non-rude"! They are quite warm, just like you. :)

Virgil, you must visit Arkansas. There's so much beauty here in the mountains and even in the delta region. And you could visit the Clinton Library in Little Rock.

Brothers until death...
our oaths not sworn vocally
but by respect known…
Yankee and Rebel,
the horse pistols long hung up,
we spar with words some—
But this Cougar longs—
and it would fulfill desire—
find Wolf at my door…

Canada’s bright star—
her golden hair; playful wit—
always tender heart…
Windblown prairies,
where people can become cold—
she a warm Zephyr…
A Femme Fatale?
Just a neat act. Camouflage.
Hiding her soft heart…

If I am our heart,
Granny, you are our conscience—
wise words in due time…
Arguments ensue—
we become naughty children—
we deserve scolding…
You treat us as kids—
your own precious little babes—
and you counsel us…
Words fitly spoken
are like apples of gold in
pitchers of silver…

I keep thinking all they have in that library is porn magazines. ;) But seriously I would love to visit the delta. I'm a big blues fan and that is the heart of the blues. Plus I would love to visit William Faulkner's town over in Mississippi.

while she dines alone
she sees what others do not
at the next table
carefully she writes
these subtle observations
as she sips her tea
A moment taken
Watching birds out the window
Back to her record
She also takes this
time for self reflection, it’s
More interesting
