i haven`t written anything for a little while now so....um....here it is

what`s on your mind
please tell me why
i just can`t find
why life passes by

without our knowledge
it`s beyond our control
were pushed to the edge
we all pay the toll

if you stop you see
that in death there is hope
a flower in the debris
a delicate rope

for which to grasp tight
as death wait`s bellow
look only to light
and just let go...

i enjoyed this poem, it's simple. some things are found better in simplicity, this is one of them. good work.

Again, many praises, Lucid. I have been watching for a new post by you since your "song of time"... I hope you diddnt take my advice as being pretentious ( im sure the spelling is wrong, but Im kind of tired)... I tend to give better advice than I take.

I could take this a couple of ways.
I prefer you were talking about fate, and surrendering inhibitions, but perhaps I am wrong. Perhaps you meant to leave it ambiguous. Man, my spelling is off tonight! anyways, I will continue to watch for your postings and if you would like to get into a more indepth discussion, msg me. BTW, I have to say, I am listening to "Oboe Concerto" by "Marcello"... this is beautiful. I recommend it. It actually kind of goes with this poem... strange.

by the way i listened to Oboe Concerto by Marcello, hard to find a good one on youtube but i liked it:thumbs_up
